I’m honored to have been invited to join the Recording Academy as a Voting Member!

Thank you!

The Recording Academy is a nonprofit organization best known for presenting the Grammy Awards, and it also champions music education and creator-support programs across the United States.

It means so much to me to know that someone has noticed the small steps I’ve taken, guided purely by my heart, and has chosen to acknowledge them.

Many of the songs I love aren’t the sort that become commercial hits or chase the latest trends—in fact, most of them aren’t. I’ve long felt that school names, company titles, or fancy credentials don’t define who we are 🦋, and have found little allure in conventional authority. (I’ve even been told I should “play the title game” a bit more!)

Yet today, as we move beyond old polarities into a higher dimension of possibility—and as music platforms and listening habits shift every day—I sense a new era dawning. An era in which the world’s most beautiful songs, sounds, and age-old traditions—the vibrations humanity has been gifted since time immemorial—will not be drowned out by louder volumes, drained by endless consumption, or quietly erased from memory.

Instead, I believe these voices will be lovingly preserved and embraced, their true power celebrated and shared, helping to transform listeners wherever they may be. This is the future of music distribution and circulation I see beginning now.
