The video for “Ame Kuni” is now live ☺️

“Ame Kuni” is now in visually released☺️

Through a beautiful coming together of kindred spirits,
this MV was born.

It’s not something that can be planned into existence —
it unfolded naturally, in a joyful current.

Thank you, thank you 💓

Ancient songs are like seeds.Just as seeds found in ancient ruins sprout when given water,Ancestral songs come alive when we sing them. They help us remeber how to live again within the web of life

This piece is a prayer and a work of Yoshuku (celebratory anticipation) for the birth of a new world.

It was born on Kudaka Island, Okinawa—a place revered since ancient times as the “Island of the Gods.”

The music video and the song itself felt as if they were channeled directly from the air.

This project was only made possible through the deep connections and support of so many beautiful souls and spirits.

I am filled with overwhelming gratitude.

Lyrics –

AME NO MIKUMARI ( the first spirals from the sky to the land)

KUNI NO MIKUMARI (the first spirals from the land to the sky)

AME NO

KUNI NO

At the birth of the universe, two primordial spirals emerged ―one descending from Heaven to Earth: Ame-no-Mikumari,

and one ascending from Earth to Heaven: Kuni-no-Mikumari.

When these two spirals unite as one, Kuu (Deep Emptiness) is born ―the sacred void from which all creation flows.

Within the power of these words lies the fractal seed of all beginnings.

The name Mikumari (水分) holds various layers of sacred meaning.

While understood as the deity governing the distribution of water, it is also interpreted as a celestial and terrestrial pair—Ame-no-Mikumari (Heavenly) and Kuni-no-Mikumari (Earthly)—representing the continuous flow and the spiral connection between Heaven and Earth.

These deities are deeply entwined with various traditions: from the gods of rain, mountains, and rice fields to the blessings of fertility and new life.

In this piece, they manifest as the two primordial spirals that birth the universe.
