I’m honored to be selected as the Winner of Top of Asia at the Intercontinental Music Award 2026.
Below is the transcript of my speech.

I’m deeply grateful to have received this award within such a warm, creative community.

My award-winning song, “Ame Kuni,” comes from my new album, “Ancient Seeds.” I brought the power of old Japanese words back to life, like a mantra for today, carrying a prayer that the world’s waters remain beautiful and cherished. Thanks to ICMA, this single drop of my prayer can become a river, and then an ocean.

Staying true to the sound only I can hear, rather than being swept up in the chase for streams and plays — ICMA has given me the courage to keep walking that path.

My heartfelt thanks to the ICMA judges, organizers, and staff, to my fellow participants, to Beth Hilton, who introduced me here, and to Toshiyuki OMORI, co-producer of the album.
